What different series of lifepo4 batteries?
Hey guys, electric vehicles and energy storage devices have been booming lately, and the lithium iron phosphate batteries powering them are also in the spotlight! But did you know that lithium iron phosphate batteries actually come in several different series, each used for various purposes? Let’s chat about those popular ones today!
First off, there’s CATL’s ace—the CTP series. This series focuses on “minimalist design,” getting rid of the battery modules directly so that the cells can be packed more compactly, boosting space utilization like crazy! Take the CTP 3.0 Kirin battery, for example. It not only maximizes the driving range but also has insanely high heat dissipation efficiency. Install it in an electric vehicle, and you don’t have to worry about the range dropping sharply in winter!

BYD’s Blade Battery is also highly recognizable. It shapes the cells into thin and long blades, making them fit more neatly in the battery pack. And its safety is top-notch—it doesn’t catch fire or explode even during the nail penetration test. The Blade Battery is definitely a big reason why BYD’s new energy vehicles are selling like hotcakes!
Gotion High – Tech’s JTM series is also worth mentioning. It integrates the battery module and the upper cover of the battery pack, making production easier and reducing costs. For car manufacturers, it can cut costs while ensuring battery performance, making it a definite “cost – effective choice”!
Then there’s CALB’s L600 series, which focuses on high energy density. It can store more electricity in the same volume, making it perfect for pure electric vehicles that require long driving ranges. However, this series has extremely high requirements for the production process. CALB has established a firm foothold in the high – end market thanks to its strong technical capabilities.
In addition, EVE has also launched its own lithium iron phosphate battery series. They’ve put efforts into fast – charging technology, achieving “10 minutes of charging for a 100 – kilometer range.” For busy office workers or long – distance drivers in a hurry, it’s simply a lifesaver!

REPT also shines in the field of lithium iron phosphate batteries. From January to October 2024, its lithium iron phosphate power battery installation volume ranked seventh. Its “top-level” technology is quite powerful and empowers power cells. Under the LFP system, the volume energy density can reach 450Wh/L, and under the NCM system it is as high as 650Wh/L. It also has a super fast charging capability of 2-4C and high safety performance without U-bends. Relying on these advantages, it provides customers with a new balance of high energy density, fast charging, and high power, and provides a dual-excellent solution of “high safety + long endurance”, which is widely used in many power fields such as passenger cars and commercial vehicles.
Svolt should not be underestimated either. It launched the short knife battery series, which set off waves in the market. Take the Tank L600 as an example. The R&D personnel put a lot of effort into the electrolyte and used low-viscosity solvents to improve the fluidity and conductivity in sub-zero low-temperature environments, effectively solving the problem of a significant drop in battery life in winter due to low temperatures. In addition, functional additives are added to the electrolyte. When charged for the first time, the negative electrode of the lithium-ion battery will undergo a polymerization reaction to form a solid protective film. This film can also remain stable at high temperatures and does not decompose, greatly improving the safety and cycle life of the battery in high-temperature environments. At the same time, the Tank battery adopts a “long and thin” structural design. Compared with traditional batteries, when it is damaged externally (such as acupuncture), it generates less heat due to short circuits, dissipates heat faster, and does not cause sudden temperature surges and fires. In addition, Svolt also launched the 5C fast-charging lithium iron phosphate “Tanknife” battery at the 2024 Global Partner Summit. It can charge the battery from 10% to 80% in 10 minutes. It is planned to start mass production in December. This speed is simply a big speed-up for charging electric vehicles!
These different series of lithium iron phosphate batteries are like athletes with different specialties. Some have strong endurance, some are fast, and some are highly stable. They meet the diverse needs of electric vehicles, energy storage power stations, power tools, etc.! Next time you buy a car or choose a power bank, you will be more knowledgeable and choose the product that suits you best!
